Job Description:

Roger Dean Stadium is looking to add an Account Executive to focus on building new business and retaining current clients through relationship building. Ideal candidate will be looking to make an immediate impact in sports sales and be a high energy, team player. The position will work with the sales team to create a personalized sales plan.

Roger Dean Stadium is the Spring Training facility for the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins. The facility also plays host to the Advanced-A affiliates for the teams, the Palm Beach Cardinals and Jupiter Hammerheads. This is a full-time, year-round position that is salary based and eligible for commission and sales incentives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate revenue by selling season tickets, mini plans, group tickets, nightly suites and suite leases
  • Coordinates and executes a minimum of 50 sales calls per day on any and all potential customers.
  • Develops new leads through cold calling, networking events, utilization of CRM and referrals from current customers.
  • Prospects and qualifies all potential sales opportunities in addition to the leads that are provided
  • Provide accurate updates on prospecting activity, sales performance, outside appointments, and account management
  • Provides excellent customer service to prospects and current clients over the phone and at games
  • Assists in fulfilling premium events and servicing premium groups when needed
  • Represents the Club in a positive and professional manner at all times
  • Additional responsibilities to be determined at the discretion of the Director of Ticketing

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of one year sales experience or sports sales experience preferred
  • Must be willing to work long hours, nights, weekends, and the occasional holiday
  • Bachelor’s Degree Sport Management or Business preferred
  • Prior sports sales experience a plus
  • Prior B2B sales experience a plus

The Event Services Intern will assist the Event Services Coordinator in all aspects of the department during both the Spring Training and the Florida State League seasons. The department covers all aspects of the day-to-day operations, game-day operations and staffing and all non-professional baseball events taking place at Roger Dean Stadium.

The Group Sales & On-field Promotions Intern will assist the Marketing & Promotions  Coordinator in all aspects of the department during both Spring Training and the Florida State League seasons. This department is responsible for managing/overseeing all elements of the stadium’s kids club,  organizing pre-game activities and acting as the EMCEE on-field throughout the season.
